I love your life. I've been a fine artist my whole life, for 50 yrs now, I would love to break out in freedom like you and just create who I am inside.

I do agree that selling something like this for 50k is pretty excessive. But you have to give him credit where it’s due. Spinning two buckets of paint while hanging *upside down* is absolutely astonishing! I’m sure it did cost quite a lot for all the materials (I’m talking maybe a few thousand?) But the final piece looks absolutely amazing! Art can be any size, shape, or form. So please stop cutting him credit for where it’s due. The price is probably ridiculous, but nobody’s forcing you to buy it, nor do you have too. The beauty of this kind of art, is that you’ll never get the same result, EVER. Each piece is one of a kind. Which can add to its value. (No matter how big or small) But just because it’s priced insanely high, doesn’t mean you can’t still admire a beautiful masterpiece, because that’s what I see. And I want others to see that too because he is still a person, and you don’t know what he went through to set up, buy materials, or whatever it may be before that record button was hit. This is my opinion, and I understand everyone else may have a different one :)

I'd be stoked if the art was unique. However this is the 5th time today I've seen art produced that way... a poser following a trend. Sorry, but this is just... rich kid behavior.

I do think it's a bit... hm.. black and white? to see any sort of critique as "haters". someone commenting on wasted material isn't necessarily someone hating on the finished piece. a hater is someone who actively hates someone's work without an ounce of words on how it could be improved. art critiques are just as much a part of the path to improving your art as anything else is. some of the best lessons I've learned have been through art of critiques done in uni courses. calling any person with a critique a "hater" is a quick way to sound egotistical and closed off to progress.

the technique is fun, the colour choices and pigment, the way he rigged it up so he could have better control when pouring, and yes that is a _massive_ canvas and a lot of paint, but all that said... 50k? if he didn't have a social media presence I truly doubt he would be able to price it that high. I'm not some kind of "that's not art" typa person, because yes, that _is_ art, its just interesting how social media plays such a hand in selling abstract pieces now. not sure how I feel about it (esp as an artist myself)

honestly, that does look pretty good. Its unique in its own way. Art doesn’t have to have some complex meaning. Abstract art is so cool when theres effort put in, and this is exactly that.

It looks nice, the method just feels like a cheatcode. To pour paint on a canvas while hanging upside down is creative, hard and unique in its own way, don't get me wrong. It just lacks the purpose, emotion and soul found within a masterpiece done in the traditional way. It's like a sleight of hand. Still impressive, and good on you for making money from this! 🥂

It upsets me to see shit like this iv sold prob close to 70 paintings for a total of 5,600 watch one took me an hour and this fucking guy prob sold it for more than what I have in life savings shit makes me want to die
